Plantpros is an established interior plantscaping company working with high-end corporate clients across the GTA. We install and maintain indoor tropical plants in offices, hotels and commercial spaces.

We’re currently looking for a reliable, hands-on plant maintenance technician to work in our maintenance department.

This is a permanent part-time, role — ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, has experience caring for indoor plants and likes variety. May lead to full time work.

WHO THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR

Please do not apply if you are:

  • Looking for seasonal or temporary work

  • New to working with plants

  • Uncomfortable speaking with clients

MUST-HAVES

  • Valid driver’s licence with clean driving record

  • Your own vehicle to use for work

  • Physically able to lift up to ~60–70 lbs (with dollies and carts provided)

  • Comfortable working indoors and occasionally outdoors

  • Punctual, dependable, and able to follow instructions on scheduling app

  • Friendly, professional attitude around clients

WHO THIS ROLE IS GREAT FOR

  • We are looking for one experienced, reliable person who:

  • Has hands-on experience with indoor plants (interiorscape, greenhouse, horticulture diploma, or similar)

  • Is comfortable with daily physical work

  • Can confidently navigate in and around the GTA (including downtown)

  • Presents professionally and communicates well with clients

  • Wants part-time, long-term stability — not a short-term or “for now” role

This position requires judgment, care, and professionalism, not just strength or enthusiasm.

THE ROLE (WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO)

This position focuses on plant maintenance, including:

  • Driving your own vehicle to and from client job sites

  • Assisting with plant installations at client locations if required.

  • Using own vehicle for travel between maintenance accounts.

  • Comfortable navigating downtown Toronto

  • Maintaining corporate accounts on regular, scheduled routes

  • Helping plant/prepare plants and containers at our Orangeville facility if required.

  • Occasional pickups from suppliers if required.

You may be working with another team member, or alone, and you’ll receive clear instructions and job details each day through a scheduling app on your phone

Some weeks / days are busier than others — flexibility is important.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Standing, walking, bending, lifting and reaching throughout the day

HOURS & PAY

  • Part-time: approx. 25-30 hours per week

  • Weekday daytime work

  • Hourly rate: $25–$28/hour, depending on experience

  • Paid travel time when applicable

This role is not a 9–5 desk job — it’s active, physical, and different every day.
